How the matched credit works

The programme is straightforward. Buy a gift card of $300 or more and you receive a complimentary 10 percent matched credit in gift card value on top of what you paid, and every gift card carries a cash value equal to the amount paid. There is no smaller print attached to that.

If they do not know what to pick

If the person you are buying for does not know which treatment they want, that is fine. They can start with the free 20 minute virtual consultation, no charge, where Tomo talks through what their skin actually needs before anyone books a service. It takes the guessing out of a gift.

Because bookings are capped at four clients a day, whoever receives the card should plan to call or text ahead for a specific date rather than expect a same-week opening. That is also true of the studio's own regular booking, so it will feel familiar rather than like a special restriction.

Which treatments give well

A few treatments make especially good gifts. The Tulum Signature Facial is $155 for 90 minutes and is the studio's own signature session. The Japanese Dry Head Spa is $120 for 60 minutes, a waterless scalp treatment that reads as more of a ritual than a typical facial. Teen Facial and Wellness is $85 for 50 minutes, a gentle option for a teenager dealing with hormonal skin changes. And the Delux Spa Treatment, $230 for 105 minutes, combines a facial with the Dry Head Spa for someone who wants the full afternoon.
